UNITED METHODIST MEN
HANDY HELPERS
What are Handy Helpers? We are Neighbors Helping Neighbors, an outreach ministry of Waleska UMC – We are a group willing to help neighbors with small tasks which they are unable to do for themselves. No job will be too small for us, but some will be too big. Some possibilities would be: hanging pictures, minor toilet repair, planting flowers, fixing a sticking door, replacing light bulbs, replacing smoke alarm batteries, move some furniture, transportation to Publix or Doctor’s Appointments – We don’t do dishes, gutters or windows. If you have a job for us to do, please e-mail Roger Albee at rkohlera@aol.com
WALESKA UMC MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT GROUP
The Waleska UMC Marriage Enrichment Group (MEG) meets once a month in a face-to-face setting with up to eight couples. Each month, the couples address a different topic. The goal of the couples’ time together is to focus on their relationship. Though some social time is built into the schedule, the majority of the time is spent with couples dialoguing “knee-to- knee.” Childcare is provided.
